Cookies Policy
Red Pulse Tech · Effective date: [DATE] · Version 1.0 (draft)
This policy explains how the Red Pulse website and dashboard use cookies and similar local-storage technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. "Local storage" is a similar browser mechanism for saving small amounts of data on your device. We use both for a limited set of purposes described below.
Our approach
Red Pulse uses only strictly-necessary and preference technologies. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell data to advertisers.
What we use
Strictly necessary (cannot be turned off — the dashboard won't work without them)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
rp_session |
Cookie (HttpOnly) | Keeps you signed in to the customer dashboard after authentication. | Expires with your session |
rp_admin_session |
Cookie (HttpOnly) | Keeps Red Pulse staff signed in to the administration portal. Not set for customers. | Expires with the session |
__cf_bm and similar |
Cookie | Set by our CDN/security provider (Cloudflare) to deliver and protect the site (bot mitigation). | Under 1 hour |
Preferences (improve your experience; optional)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
rp_theme |
Cookie | Remembers your light/dark theme choice. | Up to 12 months |
rp_dismissed_notices |
Local storage | Remembers which maintenance/notice banners you've dismissed so they don't reappear. | Until cleared |
rp_dismissed_versions |
Local storage | Remembers which agent-update banners you've dismissed. | Until cleared |
(Names verified against build 1.5.13 / agent 1.8.3, June 2026.)
Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the dashboard. Our infrastructure providers (e.g. our CDN/security provider) may set strictly-necessary cookies to deliver and protect the site; see our Privacy Policy for sub-processors.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies (such as rp_session) will prevent you from signing in and using the dashboard. Clearing local storage will reset dismissed-notice preferences.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change. Material changes will be notified via the dashboard.
